Developed as an accessible alternative to a virtual reality experience, Kitchen Cordon Bleu is an inventory auditing simulation that I created completely from scratch in collaboration with Linda Kidwell for her Accounting 4210 course at Nova Southeastern University.
In the simulation, students take on the role of junior auditors tasked with completing a physical inventory audit of the fictional kitchenware company, Kitchen Cordon Bleu. They must review client background information, examine a random sample of boxes, complete the corresponding audit workpapers, and write recommendations for the client based on their findings.
Some of the key features include:
240 individual boxes
Two modes: Basic and Advanced
List-to-floor and floor-to-list approaches
Interactive warehouse employees with dialogue options that unlock as students explore the warehouse and encounter new people and situations
Narrative elements that tie together the client background information, inventory conditions, and warehouse employees
The simulation was developed using Articulate Storyline and is compatible with several screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.
